As it was announced today, Anglo Irish Bank has transferred a second batch of loans nominally worth 6.75 billion euros ($8.6b) to the state-run National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) at a discount of 61.9%.

Earlier today, a source close to the bank said the discount demanded by NAMA, a “bad bank” scheme, would be 61%.

NAMA, which is also buying loans from four other institutions, said in a statement it expected to complete a third tranche of loan purchases by the end of September.
