Irish Stock Exchange Shares Up

Irish Stock ExchangeThe ISEQ index of Irish shares closed up 7.21 points to 2,807.11 this evening, a gain of 0.26%.

Among the risers, CRH added 22 cents to €13.66 ($21.24); Tullow Oil gained 16c to €14.02 (21.59); Aryzta was up 15c to €33.50 ($51.60); Elan Corp added 8c to €3.61 ($5.56) and Glanbia was up 6c to €3.46 ($5.32).

On the fallers’ board, Ryanair slipped 9c to €3.85 ($5.93); Smurfit Kappa shed 7c to €7.52 ($8.81); Kerry Group slipped 4c to €25.70 ($39.58); C&C was down 3c to €3.11 and FBD was also down 3c, to €6.81 ($10.49).

Financial stocks were mixed, with AIB up 1c to €0.81 ($1.24) and Irish Life & Permanent lifting 8c to €1.80 ($2.77), but Bank of Ireland closing down 1c at €0.76 ($1.17).
