Palin posted a question on her Facebook page: “Does anyone seriously believe that Dr. Laura Schlessinger is a racist?”
Dr. Laura used the n-word 11 times during answering the question about mixed-raced dating. After woman expressed concern over the n-word, Schlessinger apologized for her outburst.
But in the interview with Larry King (CNN) she claimed her First Amendment rights were being violated because she was widely criticized for using the abusive term.
Palin, who also defends Dr. Laura on Twitter, agreed with the radio host’s assessment, writing “adversaries who have been trying to silence Dr. Laura for years seized on her recent use of the N-word on her show as she subsequently suggested that rap “artists” and other creative types like those producing HBO shows who regularly use the N-word could be questioned for doing so.”
Palin also insists that Dr, Laura Schlessinger did not have any intention to insult the caller. She did, but apologized for that. And people who are blaming her for the mistake “paint her as something she is not”.
